Job Description
Seasonal virtual tax team lead guiding remote professionals through complex tax matters. Delivering training, coaching, quality oversight, and compliant client resolution for H&R Block.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, and hire seasonal Virtual Tax Professionals
- Deliver training on tax policies, transcript analysis, virtual platforms, and workflow systems
- Create, manage, and adjust team schedules to support coverage and performance goals
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and compliance with virtual work expectations
- Review performance metrics and provide timely coaching and feedback
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive virtual work environment
- Provide technical tax support and guidance on complex tax scenarios
- Guide associates in interpreting IRS transcripts and identifying resolution opportunities
- Ensure adherence to Internal Revenue Service requirements and company compliance standards
- Support client escalations and virtual service delivery as needed
- Lead a remote team of Virtual Tax Professionals focused on resolving complex tax matters and ensuring accurate tax outcomes, consistent client experiences, and strong team performance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coach remote teams effectively
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience serving clients in a virtual or remote environment
- Flexibility to work extended or varied hours during the seasonal period
- Internet speed of at least 15 Mbps
- Supervisory or people leadership experience
- 3 years of experience in tax preparation and/or tax research
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
- Preferred: Circular 230 credential (attorney, EA or CPA)
- Preferred: Experience leading remote teams
