Job Description

Licensed mental health counselor providing Spanish-speaking outpatient telehealth care through Brave Health. Delivering assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and client-centered care remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient services through Brave Health’s telehealth program
  • Deliver mental health treatment remotely from a private home workspace
  • Provide care to patients across the lifespan
  • Complete approximately 30 client care hours per week, averaging 6 clients per day
  • Use comprehensive assessments
  • Develop treatment plans
  • Diagnose mental health and/or substance abuse conditions
  • Partner with clients to achieve treatment goals
  • Use telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools
  • Potentially obtain additional state licenses as Brave Health expands into new markets
  • Participate in the application review and recruitment process, including completing a post-application questionnaire

Requirements:

  • Master's level degree and licensure
  • LMHC and LMFT candidates must have Diagnostic Privileges (LMHC-D / LMFT-D)
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Unable to support employment authorization tied to temporary or employer-dependent visa statuses
  • Private home workspace suitable for patient safety and HIPAA requirements
  • Fluency in English
  • Spanish preferred; proficiency in other languages is a plus
  • Knowledge of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnosis
  • Experience with treatment planning
  • Comfortable using telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools
  • Experience partnering with clients to achieve goals
  • Ability to use comprehensive assessments
  • Ability and willingness to complete 30 client care hours per week
  • Experience working with patients with chronic severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, or schizoaffective disorder
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required for expansion
