Job Description

NIFP manager leading forensic psychiatric care, pro Justitia reporting, and forensic indications. Guiding professionals and strategic partnerships within Dutch justice services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead psychiatrists within the service
  • Take final responsibility for mediation of pro Justitia reports, forensic care indications, and psychiatric care for detainees in prisons and detention centres
  • Monitor the quality of reports and indications against professional standards
  • Initiate improvements with the management partner
  • Act as a subject-matter sparring partner for psychiatrists, psychologists, lawyers and forensic care coordinators
  • Promote reflection, peer consultation and professional deepening
  • Lead knowledge sharing and training
  • Build a learning service where professionals continue developing and complex issues are shared
  • Hold policy responsibility for Forensic Care Indication (IFZ)
  • Represent NIFP strategically toward chain partners including the Public Prosecution Service, judiciary, prison service, mental healthcare institutions and probation organisations
  • Share integral responsibility for the service with the Manager Operations & General Affairs
  • Improve work processes, contribute strategically and support innovation within NIFP

Requirements:

  • Experienced psychiatrist or clinical psychologist
  • BIG-registered psychiatrist or clinical psychologist with valid NRGD registration
  • Thorough understanding of the PJ reporting process, care process and/or forensic care indication process
  • Experience testing and safeguarding quality within complex, multidisciplinary processes
  • Ability to translate strategic choices into work processes, quality frameworks and concrete improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrable required work and intellectual level; if not demonstrated with a diploma, this may be assessed through a capacity test
  • Motivation letter required
  • VOG may be required following a positive selection outcome
