Job Description
Social media expert designing realistic task environments for Mercor’s AI-agent training projects. Evaluating agent decisions against expert brand-social standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design task briefs based on actual social media work, including the planted issue and the decision a strong practitioner should reach
- Specify documents, dashboards, personas, and tool states required for realistic tasks
- Write or review reference answers and criteria distinguishing strong responses from plausible-but-wrong ones
- Review AI agent attempts and evaluate them against practitioner standards
- Create and assess tasks involving diagnosis of messy or conflicting data, prioritization, tradeoffs, planning, execution, QA, reconciliation, triage, escalation, research, evaluation, reporting, and multi-tool orchestration
- Work on social inbox management, campaign and publishing execution, share-of-voice analysis, and owned-brand response judgment calls
- Collaborate on projects training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- Hands-on practitioner experience running brand social; ownership of the account and inbox
- Fluent in a social management platform such as Sprout Social
- Comfortable reading native platform analytics
- Prior experience building AI training environments, RL environments, or simulated case studies strongly preferred
- Rubric Academy or Rubric Bootcamp certification strongly preferred
- Clear written reasoning and ability to explain why a decision is right
- Completion of a short multiple-choice knowledge screener specific to the social media sub-domain
- Must not be an H-1B or STEM OPT candidate, as Mercor cannot support these candidates
