Job Description

Vice President expanding merchant acquiring and payment solutions for Technology, Media & Telecommunications clients. Advising businesses on digital commerce, embedded payments, and emerging monetization strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate, develop, and close strategic merchant acquiring and payment solutions opportunities across Technology, Media & Telecommunications ecosystems
  • Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy focused on TMT clients
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Originate and close merchant acquiring, integrated payments, and value-added services opportunities
  • Lead complex consultative sales cycles from prospecting through implementation
  • Achieve or exceed individual sales and revenue objectives
  • Serve as a merchant payments subject matter expert for the TMT vertical
  • Advise clients on embedded payments, subscription billing, marketplaces, omnichannel commerce, payment orchestration, digital wallets, cross-border commerce, and fraud prevention
  • Deliver strategic insights to improve payment performance and customer experience
  • Develop trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and key decision-makers
  • Identify and engage prospective clients' various buying centers
  • Collaborate with Corporate Banking, Treasury Management, Product, Risk, Pricing, Legal, Implementation, Client Management, and Bankers/Relationship Managers
  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand wallet share

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in merchant acquiring, merchant services, payments, fintech, treasury management, or related financial services sales
  • Demonstrated success originating and closing complex business development opportunities
  • Proven track record guiding client and internal stakeholder teams through collaboration and influence
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, estimated at 40%-50% annually
  • Deep knowledge of merchant acquiring, payment acceptance, ecommerce, integrated payments, and digital commerce
  • Experience serving Software, SaaS, FinTech, Telecommunications, Digital Media, Marketplaces, Cloud Technology, Gaming, or ISV clients
  • Recognized expertise within the TMT ecosystem
  • Ability to engage clients on digital commerce, embedded payments, AI-enabled customer experiences, and emerging monetization strategies
  • Requires 10 or more hours of driving per week conducting business meetings with bank partners and clients
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety policies
