Job Description
Online English Content Writer creating engaging lessons for Novakid’s children’s language school. Developing age-appropriate activities, assessments and digital learning content with an international team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fun, engaging and age-appropriate online English lessons for children
- Turn learning objectives into clear, intuitive activities that encourage students to speak, think, interact and participate
- Create lessons with clear and measurable learning outcomes
- Build content with strong pacing, scaffolding and progression
- Create activities, exercises, assessments and supporting content across different Novakid products
- Review and improve existing lessons based on feedback, observations and performance
- Take part in content reviews and give constructive feedback to other writers
- Work closely with Methodology, Proofreading, Design, Production and Content colleagues
- Contribute ideas for new formats, activities and engaging lesson approaches
- Support pilots, new courses and other Content projects when needed
- Stay up to date with developments in education, children’s digital learning and EdTech
Requirements:
- Higher education
- Strong knowledge of English language teaching and lesson planning
- Experience creating educational or teaching materials
- A strong understanding of how to structure a lesson and achieve a clear learning outcome
- Excellent English - at least C1, both written and spoken
- Strong digital skills and confidence in learning new tools
- Creativity and the ability to turn a learning objective into something genuinely engaging for children
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to accept and act on feedback
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
- Comfortable using AI in everyday content creation workflows
- Able to use AI to brainstorm, research, adapt and improve content
- Able to critically review AI-generated material
- Useful experience includes online teaching, teaching children, developing digital learning content, CEFR-aligned English programmes, Google Workspace, Jira or similar tools, AI content-creation tools, and games, interactive learning or digital children’s products
