Job Description

Senior Content Creator shaping authoritative legal and policy content for veteran-led Berry Law. Researching, writing, and editing materials that educate Veterans and strengthen the firm’s reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct original research and reporting, and develop authoritative studies, reports, and white papers
  • Write thought leadership articles establishing Berry Law as a national authority in Veterans Disability and Personal Injury law
  • Develop editorial calendars aligned with firm priorities, legislative developments, and strategic initiatives
  • Monitor legal, legislative, and VA policy developments to identify important stories for Veterans
  • Draft long-form website content, practice area pages, guides, and educational resources
  • Write executive thought leadership pieces, opinion articles, and media-ready content
  • Draft persuasive copy for breaking news and emerging media opportunities
  • Provide website news updates and timely commentary
  • Develop podcast content plans, episode outlines, and interview preparation materials
  • Write video scripts, storyboards, and production briefs
  • Collaborate with the Producer on compelling multimedia storytelling
  • Develop messaging for social media, email, public relations, and executive communications
  • Review and edit content for accuracy, editorial excellence, and brand consistency
  • Serve as the firm’s final editorial resource for complex content
  • Partner with attorneys to verify legal accuracy and compliance with attorney advertising rules
  • Ensure published content reflects Berry Law’s brand and ethical standards
  • Simplify complex legal concepts for everyday readers while protecting the firm’s reputation

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Journalism from an accredited institution
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities, demonstrated through a portfolio of published work
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly for professional and consumer audiences
  • Outstanding research, organization, and editorial judgment
  • Ability to translate sophisticated legal concepts into compelling, reader-friendly content
  • Deep attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Preferred: Experience covering law, government, public policy, or military affairs
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Veterans Disability, Personal Injury, or litigation
  • Preferred: Experience developing thought leadership or educational content
  • Preferred: Familiarity with SEO, content strategy, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and AI-assisted research
  • Preferred: Experience working with Veteran or military communities
  • Preferred: Background collaborating with marketing, media, or communications teams
