Job Description
Web Content Developer maintaining KLSA and client websites, CMS content, SEO, and digital communications. Improving usability, accessibility, analytics performance, and digital asset integration.
Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, and publish web pages, articles, landing pages, and resource materials.
- Maintain websites and CMS content, including navigation, templates, menus, forms, links, workflows, version history, and archived materials.
- Develop content strategies and editorial calendars based on audience research, content inventories, stakeholder interviews, and client objectives.
- Coordinate content reviews and publishing approvals.
- Design page layouts and organize information to improve navigation and usability across desktop and mobile experiences.
- Apply SEO through keyword research, page titles, metadata, headings, internal links, image optimization, redirects, sitemaps, and technical fixes.
- Configure and review website analytics and campaign tracking; report on traffic, search performance, engagement, and conversions.
- Integrate social media, email campaigns, videos, podcasts, publications, and other digital assets into website experiences.
- Organize digital assets with file names, tags, metadata, and version controls; verify permissions and accessibility.
- Check content accuracy, accessibility, broken links, and browser compatibility; apply headings, alternative text, captions, and accessible document practices.
- Coordinate CMS updates, backups, security fixes, and performance issues with technical teams.
- Maintain publishing procedures and provide client training and support.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in web content development, website management, digital communications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience publishing and maintaining content in a CMS such as WordPress, Drupal, or SharePoint; these years may be included in the total experience requirement.
- Demonstrated experience applying SEO, interpreting website analytics, and coordinating content across websites and social media channels.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and plain language communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for varied audiences.
- Working proficiency in HTML and CSS, with basic JavaScript knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot page behavior and collaborate with developers.
- Practical skills in content architecture, page layout, responsive design, CMS workflows, and digital asset organization.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet publishing deadlines, incorporate client feedback, and document quality reviews.
- Understanding of web accessibility, brand consistency, and client requirements for privacy, security, and information handling.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, digital media, web design, information technology, computer science, marketing, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of relevant education, professional training, and experience may be considered.
