Job Description
Open Source Intelligence Specialist investigating corporate, financial, and cyber risks for Binance’s global blockchain ecosystem. Mapping ownership structures and malicious-actor networks through OSINT and blockchain research.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate corporate entities and individuals to assess financial, legal, and reputational risks
- Conduct deep-dive open-source intelligence (OSINT) and public record research
- Identify ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO) and map complex corporate control structures
- Screen subjects for anti-money laundering, corruption, and regulatory compliance
- Identify trends of abnormal or malicious activity to map networks of bad actors
- Thoroughly document research, including steps taken, information gathered, and conclusions drawn
- Liaise with other teams to assist and provide and/or gather information
- Provide feedback to relevant departments based on analyses to enhance the company’s risk framework
Requirements:
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including an ability to think outside the box
- Ability to think critically and consider all possibilities, especially in the context of an investigation
- High level of passion and commitment to the company and work being performed
- Fully functional and tuned moral compass, with a high degree of integrity
- Highly motivated and able to work effectively both as a team and independently, with minimal supervision
- Professional and sound judgment
- Solid security awareness
- Working knowledge of open-source investigations (OSINT) and corporate due diligence
- Basic understanding of cryptocurrencies and differences between separate blockchains/networks
- Excellent research and writing skills; ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely
- Great attention to detail and strong analytical skills
