Job Description
Operations Intern supporting diverse functional areas and initiatives within Swimming Canada. Focused on safe sport, equity, and inclusion while providing valuable professional experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support the operations team across multiple functions, including safe sport, diversity, equity and inclusion, and sport development.
- Conduct research on funding and award opportunities for underrepresented groups.
- Prepare nomination letters, applications, and other documents related to funding and award opportunities.
- Liaise with various organizations regarding opportunities for underrepresented groups.
- Support the development of education and awareness initiatives related to safe sport.
- Assist with the preparation of various documents and letters.
- Help with conversion of digital files.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in a post-secondary program.
- The internship must contribute to the attainment of academic credits for a specific course within the program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple tasks with set deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
- A strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Strong verbal and written English skills; the ability to communicate orally in French is considered an asset.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
