Job Description

Pharmacy domain expert validating medication safety, dosing, and chart follow-through. Supporting Mercor’s AI labs and enterprises in training frontier models.

Responsibilities:

  • Confirm interaction, dosing, or contraindication findings against the patient's full medication list and chart
  • Identify missed interactions, stale patient data, incorrect dose calculations, and superseded monograph guidance
  • Judge whether all active medications, current labs, comorbidities, and the full clinical picture have been considered
  • Distinguish permitted treatments from treatments appropriate for the specific patient
  • Verify that clinical conclusions are carried through to order updates, prescriber notification, and chart/note documentation
  • Work on projects training and enhancing AI systems using pharmacy expertise

Requirements:

  • Regular weekly or more frequent use of UpToDate Lexidrug (or Lexicomp) in a current or recent role
  • 2+ years of professional pharmacy experience
  • Inpatient/hospital setting strongly preferred
  • Ability to complete full medication-list interaction checks, including severity ratings and interaction mechanisms
  • Ability to assess contraindications, boxed warnings, and warnings/precautions in the context of a specific patient
  • Ability to distinguish “not contraindicated” from “appropriate for this patient”
  • Ability to reconcile Special Alerts with monograph content
  • Ability to apply renal/hepatic dose-adjustment logic and calculators using current patient data
  • Strong working knowledge in at least 2–3 specialized areas: Trissel's IV Compatibility; pediatric/weight-based dosing; Beers Criteria/geriatric precautions; pregnancy and lactation risk categories; REMS and prescribing/access restrictions; therapeutic class comparison; drug identification and patient education/multi-language handouts
  • PharmD and active pharmacy license, or equivalent verification-heavy clinical experience
  • Comfort verifying that clinical findings are followed through in the chart, order, and care-team communication
  • Prior data annotation, labeling, or AI evaluation experience is a plus
  • Must not be an H1-B or STEM OPT candidate
