Job Description

Remote Plumbing Takeoff & Estimating Specialist supporting accurate plumbing material takeoffs and project estimates. Requires proficiency in construction plans and estimating software with effective collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Review construction drawings and identify plumbing fixtures and required work
  • Perform accurate plumbing material takeoffs
  • Organize takeoff data into spreadsheets for pricing and proposals
  • Assist with obtaining vendor pricing for required materials
  • Support the preparation of accurate project estimates
  • Ensure takeoffs are accurate and completed on time
  • Use takeoff software to prepare and maintain project data
  • Identify plan discrepancies and report them to the team
  • Maintain organized takeoff records and project documentation
  • Verify material quantities and takeoff accuracy before submission
  • Communicate with team members and vendors to clarify project requirements
  • Perform other duties related to the position as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proficient level of English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and teammates
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings, blueprints, and plans
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and industry terminology
  • Proven ability to perform accurate material takeoffs and quantity estimations
  • Experience with construction takeoff or estimating software is required
  • Experience with Square Takeoff, Airtable, or similar construction estimating/takeoff platforms is highly preferred
  • Plumbing takeoff experience is a significant advantage
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Highly organized, patient, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and standard business tools (email, spreadsheets, document management)
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, highly adaptable, reliable, self-motivated, and confident approach
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, software, and workflows
  • Ability to understand and follow established processes accurately with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adapt to business needs
