Job Description
Staffing Partner managing resource allocation and staffing processes for a technology consulting firm. Collaborating with teams to optimize project staffing and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead our staffing and resource management function, including owning the end-to-end process, maintaining accurate reporting, partnering with Leadership, Sales, Delivery and the Talent Acquisition team on hiring needs– communicating allocation decisions across teams.
- Partner closely with the Sales and Delivery teams to stay ahead of upcoming staffing needs—understanding the deal pipeline, asking the right questions about project scope and skill requirements, and translating that into capacity planning and resource forecasting.
- Coordinate staffing assignments across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Track resource availability, utilization, and allocation against project needs.
- Support short- and long-term staffing forecasts and capacity planning.
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and transitions of resources between projects.
- Review analyze and build Project Health data on a regular cadence, identifying trends/gaps, flagging risks, and surfacing insights to leadership.
- Support the Talent team with rollout of new processes, tools, and structures to the delivery team, ensuring clear communication and smooth adoption.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with delivery leads, recruiters, onboarding and leadership to ensure our people are set up for success on the right projects.
- Take on additional operational projects and initiatives as the PMO function evolves.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience staffing professional services firms, ideally in the technology space.
- A solid grasp of utilization, capacity planning, and workforce metrics to keep projects on track.
- Familiarity with project management or resource management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Excel, Jira, Clickup, or similar).
- Background in professional services, consulting, or project-driven environments where adaptability is key.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear and effective communication paired with great interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, scheduling tools, and resource management systems that keep teams aligned.
- A collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally across leadership, sales, and delivery teams.
- Working knowledge of SOWs in a consulting or professional services environment.
