Job Description
Policy Director managing state and federal policy strategy for Western Landowners Alliance. Engaging stakeholders, conducting research, and representing organization to policymakers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization’s state and federal policy strategy
- Represent the organization to policymakers
- Conduct research and policy analysis
- Draft briefs, letters, and implement advocacy campaigns
- Engage leadership, advisors, members, and partners
- Facilitate committees
- Track and analyze relevant legislation and regulations
- Develop and execute policy strategies aligned with organizational goals
Requirements:
- Relevant graduate or professional degree
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in public policy, advocacy, and strategic campaign development
- Coalition building and community organizing experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of agricultural and environmental public policy issues
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
