Job Description

PreSales/Systems Engineer Cybersecurity focused on managing strategic vendor partnerships and technical project support. Role involves extensive communication and development in a cybersecurity environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Close coordination and intensive communication with vendors and partners
  • Technical interface between the local business development managers, the sales teams and the PreSales teams in DE and UK
  • Support and advisory role for our vendors and partners in all phases of the project and sales process on technical matters
  • PreSales/PostSales activities: pitches, demos, trainings, enablement, accreditation support, proof-of-concepts (POCs), RFP assistance, solution design, workshops, international deployments, risk reviews, health checks
  • Development and delivery of sales and technical workshops (live and online) for know-how transfer — both internally and externally
  • Development and implementation of measures that support the sales process, with a focus on partner development and the acquisition of new markets, regions and partners
  • Participation in trade shows, events and similar activities
  • Ongoing training and development in relevant technologies and completion of vendor certifications

Requirements:

  • Completed technical apprenticeship or degree and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the cybersecurity/SaaS/cloud environment (ideally in distribution, vendor, system integrator or MSP)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in German and English
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with cybersecurity companies and/or knowledge of cloud-based platforms for email security, archiving and protection against cyber threats such as phishing, ransomware and data leakage is highly valued
  • Awareness of trends and current developments in the IT industry (especially cybersecurity/SaaS/cloud)
  • Ability to build stable and resilient relationships with vendors and partners
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Confident user of CRM systems
  • Intercultural communication skills
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Language skills: native German (min. C1) and fluent spoken and written English
  • Willingness to travel (DACH region)
  • Driver’s license
  • Residence in Germany
  • Valid permanent residence and work permit
  • Residence in central or southern Germany (Frankfurt or Munich area)
