Job Description
Product Designer creating accessible digital experiences for JGO’s Broadway theater and ticketing brands. Designing user flows, prototypes, interfaces, and scalable systems across the customer journey.
Responsibilities:
- Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces across browsing, discovery, ticket purchasing, order management, and customer-support experiences
- Translate user needs, business goals, and technical requirements into practical design solutions
- Apply layout, typography, visual hierarchy, interaction design, and responsive-design principles
- Contribute to creation, documentation, and maintenance of design systems across multiple products
- Create reusable components, patterns, and design specifications
- Prepare design assets and documentation for engineering implementation
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, product owners, stakeholders, and internal and external partners
- Participate in design reviews, working sessions, and critiques
- Partner with engineers during implementation to clarify design intent, resolve issues, and refine the final experience
- Incorporate accessibility considerations and established standards
- Review implemented experiences for usability, consistency, accuracy, and alignment with approved designs
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience across JGO products and brands
- Balance long-term initiatives with short-term requests and production needs
- Manage assigned work and meet commitments and deadlines
- Seek feedback, test ideas, and iterate on solutions
- Use Figma and approved AI-assisted workflows for design exploration, iteration, documentation, and delivery
Requirements:
- Education, training, or practical experience sufficient to demonstrate a foundation in user-experience and visual-design principles
- Portfolio demonstrating design thinking, process, and clear, user-centered solutions
- Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, or high-fidelity interface designs using Figma or a comparable design tool
- Experience receiving feedback and iterating on design work collaboratively
- No specific college degree or minimum number of years of professional UX experience is required
- Proficiency with Figma or ability to quickly attain proficiency
- Knowledge of UX/UI design, layout, typography, visual hierarchy, interaction design, and responsive design
- Understanding of user-centered design processes and systems-based product design
- Ability to analyze complex requirements, identify edge cases, and apply sound reasoning
- Ability to collaborate with designers, engineers, product owners, stakeholders, and partners
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, cross-functional team
- Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization that does not require employer visa sponsorship
- Preferred: ecommerce, ticketing, transactional products, WCAG, HTML, CSS, responsive web design, design systems, mobile platforms, iOS, or Android experience
