Job Description

Product Director owning Unit4’s public-sector ERP vision, roadmap, and solutions. Connecting finance, HR, procurement, and operations for government organizations in Spain.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Public Sector product vision, strategy, and multi-horizon roadmap
  • Align the public sector roadmap with Unit4's platform strategy and commercial growth targets
  • Lead a prioritized product backlog with dedicated engineering capacity
  • Define outcomes, success metrics, release plans, and quality criteria
  • Track adoption, usage, and customer impact after launch
  • Serve as the internal authority on the Public Sector vertical
  • Support product, marketing, analyst relations, and pre-sales teams with industry expertise
  • Translate sector knowledge into product requirements, opportunity sizing, and build-vs-partner decisions
  • Define industry-specific solution blueprints, reference configurations, and pre-built templates
  • Collaborate with horizontal teams across finance, HR, procurement, and operations
  • Partner on launch readiness, pricing, packaging, and field enablement
  • Engage strategic customers and the Public Sector Industry Board to validate roadmap direction and co-innovate
  • Ensure regulatory, security, accessibility, and localisation requirements are reflected in the roadmap
  • Monitor competitors including Civica, Visma, Centric, and CGI
  • Work with partners to extend the value proposition for public sector customers

Requirements:

  • Proven product management experience building enterprise software, ERP, or enterprise SaaS for public sector organizations
  • Experience building products for municipalities, local authorities, or specialist agencies
  • Shipped products used by public sector finance and operations teams
  • Deep knowledge of public finance management, public sector accounting, and government budgeting practices
  • Understanding of public procurement frameworks and ERP requirements, including approval workflows, audit trails, supplier management, and contract compliance
  • Understanding of government security, data residency, and audit expectations for cloud ERP
  • Clear perspective on responsible AI for public sector organizations
  • Commercial orientation and understanding of ARR, win rate, and customer retention
  • Strong communication skills with senior finance, ICT, and public service leaders
  • Experience in product management for enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Deep understanding of professional services business models, including project-based delivery, utilization, billing, scheduling, and compliance
  • Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to translate complex industry needs into scalable product solutions
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with ERP or PSA platforms desirable
  • Familiarity with mid-market services firms desirable
  • Familiarity with AI-driven or data-rich product environments desirable
  • Potential security clearance and background checks for customer projects and sensitive data
