Job Description
Professional Services Engineer supporting Fortinet cybersecurity products for enterprise clients. Developing migration procedures, testing releases, troubleshooting networks, and training customer staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist client staff with day-to-day Fortinet product operation and support
- Develop methods of procedure (MOPs) for migrations, upgrades, and updates
- Develop test plans and test new features and/or releases
- Verify configurations and implement best practices
- Perform interoperability evaluations of devices interacting with Fortinet products
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to client staff
- Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinet products and technologies
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Work with the end user to define specific daily activities throughout the agreement
Requirements:
- 7+ Years experience in LAN/WAN /Internet consulting, support and/or administration
- 5+ Years experience with Network Security Products
- 2+ Years experience with Fortinet products
- Experience working as a Professional Services Consultant/ Engineer a plus
- Solid understanding of security and networking principals and technologies
- Knowledge of Network Security Infrastructure – Switching, Routing, Load Balancing, WiFi
- Knowledge of Security systems – Firewall, IPS, VPN, Antivirus, AntiSpam, Web Filtering, Application Control
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Outstanding oral communication and presentation skills
- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Flexibility during times of change
- Ability to elicit cooperation from upper management, clients, and other departments
- Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity
- Strong commitment and self-driven approach
- Able to travel as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related work related experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
