Job Description
Professional Services Engineer supporting Fortinet cybersecurity products for enterprise clients. Delivering migrations, testing, troubleshooting, configuration, training, and knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities:
- Assist client staff with day-to-day Fortinet product operation and support
- Develop methods of procedure (MOPs) for migrations, upgrades, and updates
- Develop test plans and test new features and/or releases
- Verify configurations and implement best practices
- Perform interoperability evaluations of devices interacting with Fortinet products
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to client staff
- Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinet’s product line and technologies
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Work with end users to define specific daily activities for the engagement
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support and/or administration
- 5+ years of experience with network security products
- 2+ years of experience with Fortinet products
- Experience as a Professional Services Consultant/Engineer is a plus
- Solid understanding of security and networking principles and technologies
- Knowledge of switching, routing, load balancing, and WiFi
- Knowledge of firewalls, IPS, VPN, antivirus, antispam, web filtering, and application control
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Outstanding oral communication and presentation skills
- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, timelines, project adjustments, and alterations
- Ability to elicit cooperation from upper management, clients, and other departments
- Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity
- Strong commitment and self-driven approach
- Ability to travel as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related work-related experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
