Job Description
Project Manager overseeing engineering and design of transmission and distribution systems at Phasor Engineering. Responsible for project management from planning to execution and ensuring quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a detailed project plan that includes timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
- Coordinate with various teams, including design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning teams, to ensure project goals are met.
- Ensure the project adheres to quality standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting notes, technical specifications, and change orders.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and problems that arise during the project.
- Other duties as requested and assigned.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized educational institution.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Project Engineer.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience in Canada, directly related to Transmission, Distribution or Substation Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer or eligible for registration as an EIT with a provincial regulatory association.
- PMP certification or willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in high paced environment prioritizing critical tasks.
- High attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all work.
- Must be able to travel to project sites.
- Maintain a valid class 5 driver’s license in good standing.
