Job Description
Project Manager managing eDiscovery and litigation support projects for KLDiscovery, a global provider of electronic discovery, information governance, and data recovery services. Coordinating clients, workflows, data processing, review, and production deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Set up initial meetings to determine scope of matter
- Determine project format and agencies involved
- Work toward fast-paced deadlines and set appropriate internal expectations
- Work closely with collections teams on complex collections
- Conduct and participate in custodian interviews
- Partner with the Review Manager to ensure review workstreams are satisfied
- Partner with the eDiscovery Technologist to ensure Predictive Coding is appropriately applied
- Track all data processes from collection to production with detailed reconciliation according to company SOP
- Follow outlined Standard Operating Procedures
- Consult with and advise clients on eDiscovery workflows, project planning, database setup, and industry best practices
- Proactively plan project workflows and requirements with clients
- Manage client expectations through detailed status updates and reporting
- Provide proactive client communication and serve as an escalation point for client issues
- Submit requirements into the workflow system
- Track internal progress to ensure timelines and budget management are satisfied
- Advocate for client needs internally and ensure deadlines, scope, and expectations are understood
- Provide regular progress updates during and after client kickoff meetings
- Identify, address, and document internal processes to improve efficiency and client effectiveness
- Gather client requirements and communicate clear work instructions to Operations
- Provide guidance, instruction, and work direction to Operations for active projects
- Demonstrate and present KLDiscovery solutions to existing and prospective clients
- Conduct on-site client visits as required
- Maintain knowledge of the eDiscovery industry, trends, company products, services, and technologies
- Develop working knowledge of the company's hosted review products
- Drive client satisfaction through coordination and communication of deliverables
- Work with clients to establish best practices and address prioritization issues
Requirements:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Deep understanding of eDiscovery and the litigation support industry
- Specific experience successfully managing antitrust or other regulatory matters
- Demonstrated success managing multiple simultaneous projects
- Excellent client relationship skills and ability to proactively manage expectations
- Problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- 3+ years of project management, consulting, litigation support, or paralegal experience in a top-tier law firm, consulting practice, or vendor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Solid understanding of database design and management, data processing activities, and legal document review requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Flexibility to work regular evenings and weekends as dictated by project timelines and business needs
- Participation in a regular weekend on-call rotation
- Must be able to work without visa sponsorship
