Job Description
Project Support Manager responsible for project documentation, risk identification, and team coordination at an innovative energy startup. Flexible work options with a focus on sustainability and the energy transition.
Responsibilities:
- Establish, maintain and continuously improve a structured information and reporting system to ensure complete and transparent project documentation (schedules, costs, progress, contracts).
- Conduct planned-vs-actual and planned-vs-forecast analyses, create trend reports and derive recommended actions for project managers.
- Support economic assessments and calculations for tenant electricity projects (quotes, orders, profitability analyses).
- Monitor compliance with project-related regulatory requirements and ensure correct recording in project documentation.
- Build, maintain and optimize project-specific workflows and PM standards in the systems used (e.g., CRM, project management tools).
- Proactively identify risks, deviations and bottlenecks, and prepare status reports, forecasts and decision-making materials.
- Coordinate relevant information between internal teams, grid operators, partner companies and project managers, and prepare meetings and documentation.
Requirements:
- Confident handling of data, analyses, project structures and reporting tools; strong affinity for a structured, documentation-intensive way of working.
- A highly reliable, detail-oriented and proactive work style — you identify risks, deviations and optimization opportunities early.
- Initial experience in project management, project controlling or PMO — ideally in the energy sector (PV, tenant electricity/Mieterstrom, charging infrastructure) or in the real estate industry.
- Enthusiasm for the energy transition and interest in economic, regulatory and technical issues in the energy sector.
- Degree or comparable qualification in business, energy economics, renewable energies or a related field.
- Very good German skills; English skills are a plus.
- Team-oriented, communicative personality with a hands-on mentality, able to work independently and effectively support project managers and internal teams.
Benefits:
- Flexible work arrangements: Whether in Stuttgart, Hamburg, Berlin or fully remote — work where you are most productive.
- Part-time or full-time — you decide!
- Community & mobility: We support sustainable mobility with a subsidy for the Deutschlandticket (Germany-wide public transport pass) and strengthen team spirit through regular cross-department events at our locations where the entire team comes together.
- Scope to shape your role: We are a motivated startup team with a flat hierarchy. Here you can implement your ideas and actively help shape our direction.
- Growth opportunities: Your personal and professional development matters to us — we offer a variety of opportunities to develop in new directions.
- Meaningful work: You are not just doing a job but working toward a mission — the energy transition. In five years you'll be proud to say you were part of it!
- Rapid learning curve and personal responsibility: From day one you'll be in the middle of things. We rely on your skills and support your development.
- Innovative environment: If you love the energy of an agile team and enjoy working independently, you'll fit right in!
