Job Description
Quality Manager coordinating processes and teams to ensure software quality at Extractta. Driving continuous improvement and value addition for client services and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the deliveries and services provided by the third-party team follow the defined standards and procedures;
- Ensure that deliveries meet the requirements and actually add the expected value;
- Coordinate processes, people, resources and service related to software quality control and assurance;
- Manage the engagement of contracted professionals, applying workarounds for day-to-day issues when necessary;
- Ensure continuity of service/support;
- Identify training needs and technical improvements for the third-party team;
- Resolve first-level issues raised by the third-party team and escalate unresolved problems to management in a timely manner;
- Control processes and activities and maintain the quality of services delivered, planning and monitoring service execution, as well as managing deliveries during provider absences (e.g., vacations, medical leave);
- Manage the third-party team by issuing instructions, guidance and standards for task execution;
- Generate performance indicators for the processes and projects under your responsibility;
- Prepare presentations and status reports for strategic projects;
- Manage strategic projects related to software quality;
- Lead and support strategic projects, including executive reporting and defining phases with adherence to deadlines and objectives;
- Provide executive reports on project progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field;
- Proven experience of more than 6 years in management and quality;
- Strong knowledge of the full software engineering process, from requirements elicitation to software deployment;
- Theoretical and practical expertise in software testing and overall software quality;
- Leadership, negotiation and decision-making skills;
- Critical thinking;
- Self-management and communication skills (ability to express oneself clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing, and to easily understand written and spoken messages);
- Skills in risk analysis and management, estimation and planning;
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly under stress and to provide direction to the third-party team;
- Conflict management skills;
- Knowledge of the software testing discipline and existing test maturity models available in the market (e.g., TMMi);
- Knowledge of agile software development principles and practices, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP) and Kanban;
- Experience with teams operating under DevOps practices.
