Job Description
Clinical Research Project Coordinator ensuring compliance with research billing regulations at Intermountain Health. Overseeing billing activities and supporting efficient research operations with close collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the Research Billing Team and is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable research billing regulations and policies
- Reviews and signs off on Medicare Coverage Analyses (MCAs)
- Oversees billing activities for research studies and ensures accurate and timely charges
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and institutional requirements
- Works closely with the Office of Research, research teams, and billing departments to support compliant and efficient research operations
- Participates in quality assurance plans and reviews as requested
- Documents clinical research study deliverables, tracks and communicates timelines, and prepares reports and presentations on findings
- Supports research billing by reviewing research accounts and reconciling invoices
- Manages study startup, maintenance, and closeout activities and provides support and guidance to Clinical Research study teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a clinical or life science field, business, or healthcare operations
- 2 years of experience in a research or relevant healthcare/business role requiring strong demonstrated attention to detail and ability to adhere to policies and procedures
- Experience in a role requiring effective organizational skills; effective follow-through, and commitment to excellence
- Effective professional communication skills; Ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to work with personnel at all levels to gather information, communicate compliance requirements and handle complex issues
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment
- Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, e-mail, and scheduling applications
- Ability and willingness to travel within the Intermountain system and work from different locations as assigned.
- Clinical licensure, experience or certification may be required due to grant funding requirements
