Job Description
Sales Associate supporting Good Roots’ food and agriculture clients through outbound prospecting. Managing CRM administration, sales operations, contracts, and funnel tracking.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound prospecting and appointment setting, primarily focused on new business
- Manage a small starter base of accounts to begin building a personal track record
- Own Level 1 CRM administration, including stage hygiene, activity logging, and data entry
- Maintain sales scripts and objection-handling material as segment positioning evolves
- Provide sales operations support, including pipeline reporting, quota tracking, and forecast rollups
- Handle contract assistance, including SOW assembly from templates, redline routing, and e-signature tracking
- Own MQL and SQL tracking and handoff, keeping funnel numbers visible and current
- Collaborate with delivery and operations partners
- Execute the defined sales process, complete follow-up, proposals, and handoffs on time
- Progress across role levels based on demonstrated results, experience, and defined achievements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or another client-facing role
- Comfort with outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and appointment setting
- Working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) or the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with careful attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Background or personal experience in agriculture, farming, or the food industry preferred
- Prior exposure to sales operations, sales enablement, or CRM administration preferred
- Demonstrated resilience, coach-ability, and a track record of meeting activity or performance goals preferred
