Job Description
Sales Representative selling Inteplast Group’s building products, including PVC molding, trim, decking, and polystyrene moldings. Managing key accounts, developing sales strategies, and forecasting production needs.
Responsibilities:
- Represent and sell building products including PVC molding, trim, decking, porch, dock, and interior prefinished polystyrene moldings
- Manage select key accounts, including account maintenance, new client generation, strategic planning, and marketing
- Identify prospective customers through industry networking, organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences
- Contact customers and prospects to demonstrate products, explain features, and solicit orders
- Identify opportunities based on industry trends and customer needs
- Create selling and product strategies based on customer needs and product capabilities
- Set up and work co-op buying shows; ship samples and displays
- Develop product assortments for show specials
- Assist with executive-level internal and external presentations and proposals
- Provide monthly sales-target and customer reports
- Support clients after sales or contract signing to resolve problems
- Calculate and monitor rebate and co-op marketing programs
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, competitors’ products, prices, and sales
- Develop strategic relationships with internal and external customers
- Provide sales forecasts and production input
- Manage the customer web portal as needed
- Review and update marketing materials
Requirements:
- Prefer 5 years’ experience in sales
- Preferred experience selling building products or materials such as PVC molding, trim, or polystyrene molding
- Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, methods, strategies, tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
- Strong negotiation and forecasting skills
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Knowledge of business and management principles, strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and resource coordination
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, internet, email, and cell phones
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, file and record management, form design, and office procedures
- Consistent and dependable attendance
- Willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
- Ability to manage job-related stress and foster productive workplace interactions
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to concentrate, memorize information, communicate orally, comprehend written information, multitask, and maintain attention to detail
