Job Description
Senior Salesforce Engineer building secure, scalable CRM and workflow solutions for Ford Credit’s vehicle financing business. Leading Force.com architecture, integrations, automated testing, and Salesforce development in a remote Michigan-based role.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business, technology, and design teams to build new capabilities, platforms, and features and improve existing capabilities
- Customize, develop, and support solutions on the Force.com platform
- Drive Salesforce enhancements and improvements
- Build Salesforce integrations with internal systems to automate business processes
- Develop Apex classes and triggers, JavaScript, Lightning Components, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Flows, Omni Script, and Flex Cards
- Verify solutions by writing and executing automated test classes
- Collaborate with, mentor, and guide other engineers
- Document and analyze processes and procedures and ensure code is properly documented
- Create and maintain a code repository to support seamless deployment
- Stay current on Salesforce trends and releases
- Solve business problems from inception through implementation
- Provide leadership in Salesforce architecture, application design, and system development
- Architect secure, scalable Salesforce solutions meeting business requirements
- Create and deliver CRM and workflow solutions using Salesforce/Apex, Visualforce, and related technologies
- Oversee programming development and testing of interfaces according to specifications
- Mentor team members on best practices and emerging technology needs
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
- 5 years of experience programming and configuring Force.com Apex, Lightning Components, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Flows, Omni Script, Flex Cards, JavaScript (ES6), ReactJS, or similar platforms
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Extensive experience designing and developing large-scale technology solutions
- Substantial knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Communities
- Extensive understanding of object-oriented design patterns
- Salesforce Administrator certification
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer certification
- Ability to collaborate with Product and business stakeholders and translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into functional development assets
- Ability to act as a liaison between Product and development teams
- Strong understanding of SOQL, SOSL, Salesforce security model, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Chatter, and Force.com
- Salesforce Lightning UI design experience
- Understanding of user-based security models
- Experience with database concepts and data modeling
- Extensive knowledge of application modeling, design, and architecture
- Ability to identify platform risks, issues, and dependencies and drive mitigation
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including data migration, testing, pre-build, and integration teams
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified Omnistudio Developer, and Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer are listed as additional qualifications
- Automated testing, SOAP and REST web services, system migrations, AWS, Azure, SQL, agile SDLC, DevOps, and Copado experience are listed as additional or advantageous qualifications
