Job Description
Senior Account Manager overseeing client accounts, medical communications projects, budgets, and financial reporting at BOLDSCIENCE. Supporting strategy, pitches, client relationships, and junior team development.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior team members with account team management, project delivery, and financial management
- Take responsibility for projects and ensure alignment with client briefs and objectives
- Develop knowledge of client accounts, therapy areas, and processes
- Review scientific and client service content and internal drafts
- Build and maintain effective client relationships
- Lead client status meetings and document decisions and actions
- Respond to client queries and escalate concerns with proposed solutions
- Coordinate project activities and delegate tasks across the team
- Oversee project delivery and provide strategic guidance
- Lead internal and external meetings where appropriate
- Manage project activity, timelines, status reports, and budgets from start to finish
- Delegate and oversee junior colleagues' activities while maintaining quality
- Mentor junior team members and use a coaching approach
- Collaborate with Scientific, Creative, Editorial, Finance, and other BOLD teams
- Create and monitor project and account budgets
- Explain budget variances and lead client discussions on overages or underspends
- Maintain accurate financials with Finance
- Liaise with third-party suppliers
- Assist with monthly financial reports and revenue forecasting
- Ensure team timesheets are completed on time
- Support new-business pitches and attend face-to-face pitch presentations when required
- Generate ideas and proposals for new projects
Requirements:
- Significant experience working within the Medical Communications industry
- Experience working across a range of therapy areas and project/client deliverables in a client-facing role
- Proven ability working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent project and financial management skills
- Confidence developing budgets and financial reports
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with clients, third-party suppliers, senior leaders, and wider business units
- Good understanding of pharma regulations
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in science, pharmacology, or medicine
