Job Description
Senior C# Developer building Veeam’s recovery software for databases and Active Directory. Designing distributed REST/gRPC orchestration and long-running agent operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end recovery flows across REST and gRPC contracts, server-side orchestration, and target-machine agents
- Build PowerShell cmdlets with parameter validation and a coherent object model
- Design pre-flight validation across REST, server, and agent layers
- Work with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Active Directory recovery internals
- Manage long-running distributed sessions, including agent deployment, keep-alive, failure cleanup, timeouts, and cancellation
- Own and maintain the integration test suite
- Refactor and improve a mature codebase
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial C# product development
- Deep understanding of .NET, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience designing service APIs such as REST or gRPC, with external consumers and backward compatibility requirements
- Strong async and multithreading skills, including cancellation, session lifecycle, and hours-long operations
- Depth in Windows Server and Active Directory administration or internals, or database recovery mechanics for SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
- Comfort reading unfamiliar code and safely refactoring a large existing codebase
- English for daily work in an international team
- Nice to have: PowerShell module development, Protobuf, Linux, and hypervisor APIs
