Job Description
Senior C# Developer building Veeam’s SQL, database, and Active Directory recovery products. Designing resilient REST/gRPC services, agents, PowerShell interfaces, and integration tests.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement recovery flows end-to-end, including REST and gRPC contracts, server-side orchestration, and target-machine agents
- Build PowerShell cmdlets with parameter validation and a coherent object model
- Design pre-flight validation across REST, server, and agent layers
- Work with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Active Directory recovery technologies
- Manage long-running distributed sessions, including agent deployment, keep-alive, failure cleanup, timeouts, and cancellation
- Own and maintain the integration test suite
- Refactor and improve the mature codebase
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial C# product development
- Deep understanding of .NET, data structures and algorithms
- Experience designing service APIs — REST, gRPC or similar — where consumers are external and backward compatibility matters
- Strong async and multithreading: cancellation, session lifecycle, hours-long operations
- Depth in at least one of: Windows Server and Active Directory administration or internals; or database recovery mechanics for SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL
- Comfort in a large existing codebase: reading unfamiliar code, refactoring safely
- English for daily work in an international team
