Job Description
Senior Consultant leading Medicaid policy initiatives for BerryDunn, supporting state Medicaid agencies in program implementation and quality measures.
Responsibilities:
- Lead one or more client policy initiative(s) with a team that will engage in activities such as policy analysis and recommendations, facilitating client meetings, action item and decision management, deliverable development, and project progress tracking and reporting (client work)
- Drive your development through an annual process that supports your growth goal in partnership with your supervisor and BerryDunn’s learning and development team (staff development)
- Participate in new business development through activities such as research, supporting proposal content, or developing marketing materials (business development)
Requirements:
- Seven years of relevant experience, including three or more years working for a state Medicaid agency supporting policy initiatives or as a consultant directly to a state Medicaid agency.
- Experience with the HCBS Quality measures set and/or Medicaid quality management and measurement
- Direct experience working with Medicaid authorities such as state plan services, HCBS waivers, Medicaid program implementation, as well as federal compliance and reporting.
- Experience analyzing regulations and sub-regulatory guidance to inform the direction of the Medicaid program along with managing projects and initiatives to implement program changes to comply with the regulation
- Experience managing workplans, timelines, and projects including deliverables, operational and administrative tasks, risk, and client communication
- Preferred: Experience developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and client outcomes
- Preferred: Experience conducting training sessions for staff and interested parties on HCBS policies, procedures, and best practices
- Preferred: CMS Waiver Management System (WMS), Medicaid Model Data Lab (MMDL), and MACPro portals
