Job Description
Senior engineer automating Danaher’s Snowflake-based enterprise data platform for a life sciences and biotechnology company. Building IaC, CI/CD, observability, and AI-driven operations.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer the automation, developer experience, and reliability layer of Danaher’s Enterprise Data Platform
- Design, deploy, and manage Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for Snowflake, Azure, Matillion, and Airflow
- Build reusable golden-path modules, automated provisioning, drift detection, onboarding, access management, and self-service developer enablement
- Develop enterprise CI/CD capabilities for Snowflake objects, dbt, Matillion, and Airflow
- Implement automated testing, environment promotion, deployment governance, rollback capabilities, and platform standardization
- Automate data platform operations through event-driven workflows, schema-drift detection, idempotent replay, backfill processing, controlled reprocessing, and provisioning automation
- Develop AI-driven platform operations and developer enablement solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Anthropic Claude, LangGraph, and/or Semantic Kernel
- Support incident triage, self-healing workflows, cost optimization, developer copilots, governance guardrails, and model evaluation frameworks
- Establish unified telemetry, monitoring, SLO management, runbook-as-code practices, auto-remediation capabilities, and continuous MTTR reduction using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Report to the Director – Data Platform and Operations as part of the Enterprise Data Engineering team
Requirements:
- 7+ years in data engineering, DataOps, DevOps/SRE, or platform engineering
- 4+ years automating cloud data platforms
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Matillion, dbt, and Apache Airflow
- Proven Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD experience using Terraform or Pulumi and GitHub Actions or GitLab
- Strong Python skills
- Hands-on experience with LLM/agent applications using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Prompt Flow, Snowflake Cortex, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or open-source frameworks such as LangGraph and AutoGen
- Familiarity with RAG, tool calling, and multi-agent orchestration
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and occasionally internationally
- Previous experience building internal developer platforms, AI workflows, agents, data apps, or chatbots is a plus
- AI-102, DP-203, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or SnowPro Core/Advanced certifications are a plus
