Job Description
Senior Director managing customer deployment and construction projects for QTS, a global digital infrastructure and data center operator. Coordinating engineering, sales, operations, consultants, and customers to deliver projects on time and budget.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location
- Coordinate with the QTS Property Development team and specialty consultants to support customer design needs, pricing, approvals, and implementation of deployment scopes
- Manage project delivery by aligning client objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration across QTS
- Drive client relationship management and cost management to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Serve as a single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals
- Liaise among QTS Sales, Operations, Property Development, and customers
- Work closely with Development Construction Project Managers to ensure customer needs are met
- Report into the QTS Property Development department and work closely with the CHO and CRO
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture
- 10 or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities
- 5 or more years of data center project construction responsibility with large-scale data centers or data center lease providers
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- US Citizenship required by law due to federal customer contracts
- Experience managing multiple large, multi-faceted projects preferred
- Experience with Construction Health & Safety preferred
- Knowledge of Customer Deployment Technologies and Equipment preferred
- RCDD a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff
- Ability to influence cross-discipline teams
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high-growth company
