Job Description

Senior Director managing customer deployment and construction projects for QTS, a global digital infrastructure and data center operator. Coordinating engineering, sales, operations, consultants, and customers to deliver projects on time and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location
  • Coordinate with the QTS Property Development team and specialty consultants to support customer design needs, pricing, approvals, and implementation of deployment scopes
  • Manage project delivery by aligning client objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration across QTS
  • Drive client relationship management and cost management to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Serve as a single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals
  • Liaise among QTS Sales, Operations, Property Development, and customers
  • Work closely with Development Construction Project Managers to ensure customer needs are met
  • Report into the QTS Property Development department and work closely with the CHO and CRO

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture
  • 10 or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities
  • 5 or more years of data center project construction responsibility with large-scale data centers or data center lease providers
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • US Citizenship required by law due to federal customer contracts
  • Experience managing multiple large, multi-faceted projects preferred
  • Experience with Construction Health & Safety preferred
  • Knowledge of Customer Deployment Technologies and Equipment preferred
  • RCDD a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff
  • Ability to influence cross-discipline teams
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high-growth company
