Job Description
Senior manager overseeing electrical engineering software, licensing, infrastructure, and tooling teams for aerospace and defense company Raytheon. Remote U.S. role supporting secure engineering programs.
Responsibilities:
- Own the complete lifecycle of electrical engineering software suites, from intake and deployment through optimization and retirement
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize floating license pools and maintenance agreements
- Drive license reclamation and cost-efficiency strategies aligned with enterprise financial goals
- Partner with electrical engineering program leads and cross-functional stakeholders to understand workflow requirements and troubleshoot bottlenecks
- Ensure seamless delivery of engineering tools
- Oversee hardware infrastructure requirements, workstation setups, and specialized server support for EE design and simulation environments
- Shape and execute long-term tooling strategies, service catalog definitions, and compliance standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop a technical team of engineers and administrators
- Ensure tool deployments, server configurations, and data exchanges meet enterprise security and ATO compliance standards
- Champion AI-driven tools, automation scripts, and analytics for user onboarding and license-demand prediction
- Travel to Raytheon locations in the domestic United States, including McKinney, Texas and Tucson, Arizona
Requirements:
- University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
- Experience in technical management or engineering software leadership, ideally within aerospace, defense, or high-tech hardware/software environments
- Experience with electrical engineering software ecosystems, computer-aided engineering (CAE) platforms, and complex license server management (e.g., FlexPLM, RLM)
- Leadership experience managing technical personnel, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and driving enterprise-level digital transformation projects
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1
- Must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to Raytheon locations
- Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
- Preferred: Experience as a Manager or Team Leader in a defense contracting company
