Job Description
Senior investigator detecting suspicious activity and ensuring AML compliance for AML RightSource, a technology-enabled financial crime services firm. Leading investigations, KYC reviews, SAR preparation, and quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Detect suspicious financial activity and ensure regulatory compliance
- Perform quality control tasks
- Lead financial crime investigations, with possible supervision of junior analysts
- Collaborate with clients to manage financial crime risks
- Identify data anomalies and red flags related to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations
- Escalate cases for second-level review as appropriate
- Verify client identities and understand the nature and purpose of client relationships under KYC procedures
- Assist with client communication, production data analysis, and development of client-specific aids and training materials
- Provide independent support to analysts with workflow and administrative tasks
- Submit written work for internal and client quality control review
- Incorporate review feedback and apply insights to future work
- Meet designated deadlines and procedures
- Comply with AML requirements, applicable federal and state laws, company policies, procedures, and client expectations
Requirements:
- Completed bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to thoroughly investigate potentially suspicious activities, analyze findings, and prepare detailed Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in compliance with regulatory requirements and clients’ internal policies
- Strong knowledge of financial or banking industries and related regulations and laws
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to produce narrative or written summaries clearly synthesizing recommendations and conclusions
- Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed daily production goals
- Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Capable of multitasking, working independently, and collaborating as part of a team
- Receptive to feedback and able to implement changes effectively
- Adaptability to new technologies and processes
- Must work from designated home address and workspace
- Must be authorized to work without employment immigration sponsorship or support; AML RightSource will not support CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F-1, H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, or related plans
