Job Description
Senior AML Investigator detecting suspicious activity and preparing SARs for AML RightSource, a technology-enabled financial crime compliance firm. Conducting KYC, investigations, and quality control remotely in Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Detect suspicious financial activity and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead investigations into money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations
- Identify data anomalies and red flags, escalating cases for second-level review
- Verify client identities and relationship purpose under Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures
- Perform quality control tasks
- Assist with client communication, production data analysis, and development of client-specific aids and training materials
- Support analysts with workflow items and administrative tasks
- Submit written work for internal and client quality control review and incorporate feedback
- Meet designated deadlines and procedures for accurate, timely task completion
- Collaborate in a team-oriented environment
- Comply with AML requirements, federal and state laws, company policies, procedures, and client expectations
- Potentially supervise junior analysts
Requirements:
- Completed bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to thoroughly investigate potentially suspicious activities, analyze findings, and prepare detailed Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in compliance with regulatory requirements and clients’ internal policies
- Strong knowledge of financial or banking industries and related regulations and laws
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to produce narrative or written summaries clearly synthesizing recommendations and conclusions
- Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed daily production goals
- Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Capable of multitasking, working independently, and collaborating as part of a team
- Receptive to feedback and able to implement changes effectively
- Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies and processes
- Must not require employment immigration sponsorship or support, including CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F-1, H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, or 1-485 job portability
