Job Description

Forensic accounting senior associate advancing fraud prevention and compliance at RTX, a global aerospace and defense company. Executing audits, assessing controls, identifying fraud risks, and supporting investigations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze policies, procedures, transactional data, and supporting documents to understand financial, operational, and compliance risks
  • Develop workplans to identify internal control weaknesses and test design and operational effectiveness
  • Own audit project activities, test evidence, and identify anomalies
  • Work independently within a team to meet timelines and drive results
  • Leverage technology and provide technology-oriented solutions
  • Prepare high-quality workpapers documenting procedures and testing results
  • Prepare project reports with observations and recommendations and present them to senior management and business leaders
  • Share forensic skills, mentor colleagues, provide on-the-job coaching, and instruct on related tools
  • Promote data-driven decision-making and innovation
  • Travel to company locations as necessary, potentially 15%–20%
  • Execute proactive forensic audits, compliance assessments, fraud risk identification and detection activities, and support fraud investigations

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in forensic accounting, internal audit, investigations, or compliance
  • Experience with fraud and compliance risks, including anti-corruption and financial misstatements
  • Experience with public accounting, internal audit, government accounting, or project management
  • Active or pursuing CPA, CFE, or CIA certification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organization and time management skills, with ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of project management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Understanding of accounting, auditing, compliance, internal controls, financial analysis, policies and procedures, and technology
  • Experience collaborating with or managing/supporting virtual teams across domestic and international locations
  • Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, and AI tools such as Copilot
  • U.S. citizenship required to access certain necessary systems
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
