Job Description
Senior Manager Logistics leading Distribution Center operations and direct reports. Ensuring customer satisfaction and implementing operational excellence in logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership for the Distribution Center and supervisors
- Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved
- Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation
- Identify and solve operational issues with the account(s)
- Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees
- Maintain open and effective communications within the work group(s)
- Review data, identify and implement necessary actions as required
- Manage the profit and loss statements
- Lead a proactive safety program within the work group(s)
- Monitor the maintenance of equipment for assigned work group(s)
Requirements:
- H.S. diploma/GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
- Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred
- Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
- Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required
- Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred
- One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred
