Job Description
Senior marketer launching ZOE’s gut-health science brand in Germany. Owning local PR, media relations, brand strategy, and commercial growth from market entry to scale.
Responsibilities:
- Own total responsibility for ZOE’s Germany market entry, with approximately 75% focus on the German market and 25% on cross-market support
- Act as the in-market growth strategist, partnering with Finance and briefing central Lifecycle and Performance teams on local commercial tests
- Build relationships with Tier-1 German consumer, health, trade, and national journalists
- Pitch stories, secure media coverage, and run product gifting and media events
- Adapt ZOE’s science-led brand story for German consumers and create a bespoke market-entry strategy
- Select, brief, and manage local PR freelancers, agencies, and brand ambassadors as required
- Support cross-market science publications, product launches, and reactive press office work
- Draft briefing documents, opinion pieces, press releases, and Q&As in German and English
- Share EU market insights and playbooks across the organisation
- Report directly to the GM of International Growth and partner with the Head of Global Comms
- Deliver a German market-entry strategy, press network, commercial growth tests, campaigns, media placements, brand search growth, and a repeatable marketing playbook
Requirements:
- Senior individual contributor with 5–10 years’ experience
- 5–10 years’ experience launching or scaling a consumer brand in Germany
- Experience ideally in health, wellness, nutrition, science, or consumer tech
- Native or certified C2 German
- Fluent C1/C2 English, the primary internal working language
- Capability to localise complex scientific and health concepts with total precision
- Strong existing relationships with German journalists
- Proven track record of landing major press coverage
- Commercial focus on brand search, web traffic, sign-ups, and agency efficiency
- High autonomy and comfort operating without a local team
- Basic familiarity with German health marketing regulations (HWG / EU Health Claims) and DSGVO is nice-to-have
- Additional European languages are nice-to-have
- Previous experience navigating a matrix remote organisation across UK/US time zones is nice-to-have
- Must be eligible to work in the country of residence without requiring sponsorship
