Job Description
Senior Mechanical Project Manager designing and managing HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems for Core States Group. Leading multidisciplinary projects across North America.
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion
- Produce mechanical engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements, and site adjustments
- Manage multiple projects and clients while meeting schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
- Serve as the lead client contact and maintain client relationships
- Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants
- Manage staffing, resource allocation, budgets, schedules, and overall project execution
- Provide technical guidance on constructability, code compliance, and system coordination
- Oversee project financial performance, including profitability, efficiency, accounts receivable, forecasting, and project metrics
- Lead and coordinate internal multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, and project stakeholders
- Review project documents and staff work for quality assurance and quality control
- Identify project risks, liability concerns, constructability challenges, and proactive resolutions
- Manage, mentor, and develop Project Engineers, Engineering Designers, and assigned staff
- Support business development, client relationship management, growth opportunities, and new client pursuits
- Apply expertise in HVAC, plumbing/piping, refrigeration, fire protection, and fuel systems
- Coordinate with Site/Civil Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Architects, and Construction Project Managers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 10+ years of experience with general building mechanical design production
- Experience preferably with commercial projects such as retail, restaurants, grocery, financial, and/or convenience stores
- PE License preferred, not required
- Microsoft Office required
- Revit and AutoCAD a plus
