Job Description
Senior Oncology Specialist selling Amgen’s oncology medicines to medical professionals across Cleveland, Sandusky, and Canton. Managing territory plans, accounts, reimbursement access, and sales performance.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary customer contact and provide current, comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products to medical professionals
- Effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of products
- Create and execute comprehensive territory plans
- Deliver branded sales messages and execute planned programs
- Schedule and follow up with medical educational programs
- Achieve or exceed sales targets
- Service and manage accounts, including ensuring product access, resolving or triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts
- Craft marketing strategies to drive sales
- Analyze sales activity effectiveness and territory performance
- Develop territory plans with the District Manager
- Build the Amgen brand throughout the sales cycle while serving patients
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and pursue continuous learning
- Leverage oncology knowledge and awareness of industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
- OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
- Preferred experience in Oncology
- Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology and inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases
- Local Market knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration preferred
