Job Description
Product Designer researching and designing fintech workflows for Alternative Payments’ SMB financial platform. Owning discovery, interface design, prototyping, and implementation quality.
Responsibilities:
- Own the discovery process through user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis
- Define research questions, select appropriate methods, and maintain a continuous discovery cadence
- Synthesize research findings into actionable design opportunities and help shape the product roadmap
- Build and maintain a shared research repository
- Design intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically consistent web application interfaces
- Own design work from low-fidelity wireframes through high-fidelity prototypes and pixel-perfect implementation
- Partner with engineers during implementation to maintain design quality and fidelity
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define feature scope, requirements, and success metrics
- Present design concepts, research findings, and rationale to stakeholders
- Contribute to Alternative Payments’ financial operating system for SMBs, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and AI-powered analytics
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role
- Hands-on experience leading UX research end-to-end, from study design and recruiting through synthesis and sharing results
- Fluency with qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to design complex workflows
- Proficiency with Figma or similar tools for design, prototyping, and collaboration
- Understanding of accessibility principles and design best practices
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, remote-first environment
- Nice to have: front-end prototyping experience
- Nice to have: experience using AI in design and research workflows
- Nice to have: B2B SaaS or fintech design experience
- Nice to have: payment product or team experience
- Nice to have: behavioral design or cognitive psychology knowledge
