Job Description

Senior Project Manager at Phase2, owning complex, high-impact digital projects, leading teams, and ensuring successful delivery. Requires significant experience in a digital agency or consultancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, multi-workstream projects end-to-end across one or more accounts, owning engagement direction and aligning delivery with client goals and expected outcomes.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs, intervening early to keep engagements stable and on track.
  • Lead day-to-day client relationships with confidence and clarity. Guide conversations, set expectations, present progress and recommendations, and help clients navigate decisions and tradeoffs while maintaining trust, momentum, and a constant eye towards outcomes.
  • Design practical and flexible engagement approaches that balance client objectives with delivery realities across scope, budget, timeline, and resourcing constraints.
  • Direct cross-disciplinary teams by establishing clear roles, workflows, communication patterns, and accountability.
  • Mentor and coach Project Managers and delivery team members, strengthening delivery leadership and growth across engagements.
  • Spot patterns and recurring challenges across engagements and take ownership of socializing insights, proposing improved delivery approaches, and influencing how teams work more effectively across the organization.
  • Make informed decisions on resource allocation, prioritization, and tradeoffs. Balance delivery quality, team health, and client outcomes while protecting engagement momentum.
  • Own engagement financials, including scope management, forecasting, staffing, and margin performance. Ensure operational excellence across staffing, contracts, invoicing, reporting, and governance processes.
  • Embed AI into engagement workflows as a standard practice. Use AI to support planning, analysis, communication, and decision-making, and set expectations for responsible, effective team usage.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience leading complex digital projects or programs in a digital agency or consultancy environment.
  • Proven success owning scope, budgets, resourcing, risks, and cross-functional delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong judgment navigating ambiguity, evolving priorities, and delivery tradeoffs.
  • Proven executive presence, with the ability to lead C-suite and senior stakeholder discussions confidently—commanding the room, shaping decisions, and driving alignment in high-stakes conversations.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms, product development lifecycles, analytics, AI, and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI into daily workflows and guide teams in its effective use.
  • Experience mentoring others and elevating delivery standards beyond individual projects.

Benefits:

  • A competitive compensation package that considers various factors.
  • A comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and supplemental insurance.
  • Our fun and interactive wellness program offers rewards for participation.

  • You’ll start with 16 paid vacation days, 4 personal days, and 1 volunteer day each year. Vacation and personal time increase with your tenure.
  • Up to 12 weeks of fully paid leave for birthing parents and up to 6 weeks of fully paid bonding leave, based on your tenure.
  • This includes support for adoption and foster placement, along with the option to extend time off through additional unpaid leave.
  • Inclusive fertility, adoption, and surrogacy benefits through Kindbody, along with virtual health coaching and care navigation.
  • A $500 stipend to personalize and equip your home workspace for success.
