Job Description
Senior Salesforce Engineer building scalable Salesforce solutions for Humana, a U.S. healthcare company. Designing integrations, automation, and enterprise platform architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Code software applications based on business requirements
- Serve as a strategic problem solver, trusted advisor, and Salesforce platform expert
- Connect business objectives with scalable Salesforce solutions
- Take ownership of challenges from discovery through implementation
- Leverage Salesforce technologies, integrations, automation, and data solutions to create business outcomes
- Identify opportunities and challenge existing processes
- Develop innovative solutions improving efficiency, scalability, and user experience across the Salesforce ecosystem
- Partner with stakeholders to understand root causes and anticipate future needs
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions
- Integrate Salesforce with internal and external systems
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, administrators, architects, and engineering teams
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions
- Make architectural decisions and influence technical direction
- Execute independently in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
- Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, and platform configuration
- Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security model, data modeling, sharing rules, governor limits, and platform best practices
- Experience integrating Salesforce with internal and external systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, middleware, event-driven architectures, or other integration technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, administrators, architects, and engineering teams
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to evaluate multiple solution options and make sound technical decisions
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum 25 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed for home internet
- Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
