Job Description
Senior Software Engineer developing web applications for a nonprofit startup focused on financial education. Building technology for high school programs and a new investment gifting platform.
Responsibilities:
- Web application development from design to fully deployed product that functions seamlessly.
- Translate product requirements and designs into high-quality, working software.
- Identify and maintain pixel-perfect, site-wide design standards.
- Collaborate with our lean, agile team working directly with product, design, and QA teams.
- Report directly to the CTO, contributing to strategic decisions and the overall direction of our technology stack.
Requirements:
- Strong JavaScript skills, React.js skills, and API best practices.
- Excellent CSS/SCSS skills, capable of creating accurate, responsive designs.
- Proven track record with 8+ years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Ability to act as a technical lead on product features or initiatives.
- Bonus if experienced with TypeScript, NestJS, Next.js, NodeJS, Prisma ORM or TailwindCSS.
- Background in fintech, investment platforms, or financial technology is a plus.
