Job Description
Senior frontend-focused engineer building fast, discoverable e-commerce experiences for Solvd, an AI consulting and technology services firm. Delivering technical SEO, rendering, performance, and crawlability improvements across the stack.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain UI applications and components with deep understanding of SSR, CSR, hydration behavior, crawlability, indexation, performance, and UX
- Translate SEO requirements into scalable engineering solutions, including metadata frameworks, canonicalization, internal linking, structured data, sitemaps, and robots directives
- Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs in collaboration with backend and platform teams
- Monitor and improve page performance signals, including Core Web Vitals, rendering efficiency, and content delivery strategies
- Work independently in ambiguous problem spaces, clarify requirements, propose options, and deliver pragmatic solutions
- Partner with product, design, content, SEO, and analytics teams to implement search-friendly experiences aligned with business goals
- Communicate execution plans, tradeoffs, and progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Keep software and tooling current with modern frontend engineering, web architecture, and technical SEO best practices
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS/SCSS, and HTML
- In-depth knowledge of SSR and CSR patterns in React and their performance, SEO, and UX implications
- Strong understanding of technical SEO principles, including crawlability, indexation, canonical tags, redirects, metadata, schema markup, internal linking, URL structure, and duplicate content prevention
- Experience building web experiences supporting search performance through rendering decisions, semantic markup, accessibility, and page speed optimization
- Comfortable contributing to backend implementation with REST or GraphQL APIs, Node.js services, caching, and CI/CD
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with SEO, content, analytics, product, and design stakeholders
- Ability to evaluate tradeoffs across performance, maintainability, experimentation, and search visibility
- Preferred: Next.js and GraphQL experience
- Preferred: Technical SEO implementation on large-scale websites or ecommerce platforms
- Preferred: Schema.org structured data and rich result optimization
- Preferred: XML sitemaps, robots.txt management, redirects, and canonical URL strategy at scale
- Preferred: Adobe DTM/Launch, Tealium, or Google Tag Manager
- Preferred: CMS experience with CoreMedia, Magnolia, Contentful, AEM, or similar
- Preferred: A/B testing platforms such as Adobe Target, AB Tasty, or Evergage
- Preferred: Ecommerce platform experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Hybris, Shopify, or similar
- Preferred: SEO tooling including Google Search Console, crawling tools, page performance tooling, and log-based analysis
