Job Description
Senior Solutions Engineer helping Cisco/Splunk manufacturing customers secure data and improve observability. Designing Splunk solutions, leading technical sales engagements, and demonstrating cybersecurity and monitoring value.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to manufacturing customers
- Act as the primary technical lead during the sales cycle
- Conduct high-level discovery sessions to understand customer cybersecurity and performance challenges
- Design and architect Splunk deployments aggregating data from enterprise IT environments, cloud architectures, and digital business systems
- Develop and deliver customized product demonstrations and Proof of Concept engagements
- Demonstrate real-time threat detection, incident response automation, and full-stack observability value
- Partner with Account Executives, Product Management, and Professional Services teams
- Align Splunk capabilities with manufacturing-sector digital roadmaps
- Present at industry conferences and internal forums
- Build reusable technical assets, white papers, and demo environments for enterprise security and observability use cases
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting
- Understanding of modern security frameworks, including SIEM, SOAR, and threat detection, and/or observability principles, including APM and infrastructure monitoring
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for executive-level stakeholders
- Experience working with large-scale data platforms or log management solutions
- Communication and presentation skills, including the ability to lead technical workshops and whiteboard sessions
- Experience with cloud-native monitoring and security platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred
- Splunk certification or equivalent platform expertise highly preferred
- Knowledge of modern application architectures, including AI stacks, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes
- Experience in data modeling, scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and API integration
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise IT compliance standards
- Previous experience in a global manufacturing organization or specialized software provider serving manufacturing preferred
- Ability to travel to customer sites for on-site assessments and strategic planning sessions
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; this position does not provide sponsorship
