Job Description
Senior Staff Product Manager at Kong managing billing systems and commercialization for AI connectivity solutions, focusing on product and system design for entitlements and invoicing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the product and systems work behind how Konnect makes money
- Act as the product owner of Konnect's commercial operating layer
- Set multi-year direction for pricing, metering, entitlements, and invoicing
- Build entitlements model determining customer access within Konnect
- Translate pricing and packaging decisions into production reality
- Run event pipeline, aggregation layer, and reporting experiences for usage visibility
- Own self-service onboarding and subscription lifecycle management processes
- Connect enterprise sales and channel motions to the billing stack
- Automate provisioning and fulfillment processes to improve efficiency
- Define health metrics for the domain and hold the team accountable for results
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of product management experience in SaaS
- Experience in billing, monetization, or pricing domain
- Strong analytical skills to reason about billing stack architecture
- Capable of carrying pricing or packaging change from proposal to production
- Knowledge of consumption-based monetization tradeoffs
- Experience working directly with billing surfaces and platforms like Stripe
- Comfort working with API, infrastructure, or developer-platform products
- Ability to define and execute long-term vision for billing and fulfillment
