Job Description
Senior Technical Accounting Manager overseeing technical accounting, revenue recognition, leases, and financial reporting. Supporting Silvaco’s semiconductor design software business with U.S. GAAP expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Apply and execute complex accounting areas, including ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and ASC 842 Leases
- Serve as a subject matter expert on complex or strategic accounting matters
- Prepare and review accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Ensure proper revenue recognition for customer contracts and sales arrangements, including subscriptions, reserves, chargebacks, sales allowances, and deductions
- Review and maintain lease accounting, including right-of-use assets and lease liabilities
- Perform and support general accounting activities
- Ensure consistent application of accounting guidance and company accounting policies
- Oversee, improve, and standardize accounting and process documentation
- Support the annual financial statement audit
- Prepare quarterly filing support schedules, including cash flow and stock-based compensation schedules
- Support evaluation of accounting implications of significant or strategic transactions
- Research and interpret complex accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP
- Prepare and maintain technical accounting memoranda
- Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess organizational impacts
- Support internal control compliance and maintain effective internal control over financial reporting
- Report to the Corporate Controller
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Active CPA license
- Experience in a national public accounting firm
- 8+ years’ experience in accounting
- Experience supervising others
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience preparing technical accounting memos and reporting disclosures
- Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle or Netsuite is a plus
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Demonstrated talent for improving processes and a mindset for continuous improvement
- Strong work ethic, a sense of urgency and unquestioned integrity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
