Job Description
Senior grant writer developing government and foundation proposals for AltaMed, a community healthcare provider. Coordinating partners, narratives, budgets, and timely RFP submissions.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) issued by government agencies and other institutional funders, including corporate and private foundations
- Partner with Department Leads and the proposed implementation team to develop compelling proposals aligned with organizational goals and programmatic needs
- Coordinate, manage, and at times lead internal and/or external partner proposal development team processes
- Solicit information from partners and craft proposal narratives and budgets
- Coordinate proposal teams that may include Principal Investigator PhDs, AltaMed MD/DOs and other clinical providers, Department/Line of Business leaders, and implementation teams
- Ensure timely completion and submission of comprehensive applications by RFP deadlines
- Proactively seek funding opportunities for leadership approval
- Develop concept papers showcasing best practices that expand and enhance AltaMed operations and programmatic activities
Requirements:
- Master's required; PhD in health services or medical degree preferred
- Publication writing and presentation experience in the healthcare or related field required
- Minimum of 7 years of grant writing experience in the health care nonprofit sector
